Need panels removed for a roof replacement, home sale, or upgrade? Fix My Solar provides licensed, permitted solar panel removal with careful documentation so reinstallation goes smoothly whenever you’re ready.
Solar panels are almost always designed to outlast the roofs they’re installed on. When it’s time for a roof replacement, your panels need to come off first.
Fix My Solar coordinates directly with homeowners and roofing contractors throughout Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties and the surrounding areas.
Our removal process is fully documented, careful, and designed to preserve your panels, micro-inverters, optimizers, and mounting rail for reinstallation.
Every panel is labeled with its array position, connectors capped, and racking hardware assessed.
When it comes time to reinstall the solar panels, we use new components where required, like roof attachments, and code compliant sealant methods. We will re-document the installation and coordinate all of the local inspections.
Once reinstalled you will have a better than new installation.

My panels were installed by a different company that went out of business. One phone call to Vinyasun and, after trying various troubleshooting over the phone, they scheduled a service call and got my system back up and running in no time.
Greatly depends on system size, age, and roof complexity. Typical systems: $300 and as high as $450 per panel for removal and reinstallation.
We strongly advise against it. Improper removal cracks panels, damages connectors, and voids warranties. Florida statutes require that a licensed solar contractor (CVC) or electrical contractor (EC, ER) disconnect any wiring. Roofing contractors scope is only related to attachments and sealant. In all cases use a licensed contractor. Using an unlicensed handyman is not only unsafe it can be against the law, with serious fines.
Safely for extended periods if properly protected. We recommend reinstalling within 6 months. We typically start reinstallations of panels within 7-10 days of your roof being completed. For tile roofing systems, mounts are installed before the tile is delivered.

All new work completed will come with a written warranty. Including a roof attachment warranty. We also document all manufacturer related serial numbers and can act on any equipment that has failed or may fail in the future under the manufacturer’s warranty.
